If God is real and a loving God, why does He allow so much pain?
Jesus never promised us that life in Him would be troublefree. In John 16:33, Jesus told us that troubles are a part of life. He continued by encouraging us that in Him we have a greater reason not to be troubled. Some pain in life may be self-inflicted. God desires that we live life according to the leading of His Holy Spirit, who will “lead and guide us into all truth.” This is a life of repentance that leads us away from inflicting unnecessary pain on ourselves or even opening doors for it to enter our lives. However, in spite of how painful life may seem, God has a plan for every born again believer in Christ. Romans 8:28 expresses God’s intent for our pains and everything else that we will experience in life - “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
